Intro from a hemp tam crocheter!

This is Lisa who also goes by Calantirniel and AarTiana.  I have operated AarTiana Crochet since 1997 when I lived in North Carolina and went online in 2000 via http://www.crochetgoddess.com

I am not sure I am your classic "hippie" type and yet there are some things I adore hehehe - and since my revealed gift of crochet lended itself so well here, I have made tams and other headwear, etcetera for people from all walks of life, but I will say most of them are lifestylers and are appreciative of hand-crafting, no matter what their path!  Nice to meet you guys!

Re: Intro from a hemp tam crocheter!

Crocheting came very natural for me - I read directions on how when I was a kid, but it is in my blood too - my mother and aunt were knitters, but my grandmother and even great-grandmother crocheted as well as all sorts of textile arts.  I thought anyone could learn how to do it, but in hindsight after trying to teach a couple times, I now realize that having a mechanical mind helps a whole lot.  I have had better luck teaching men!
I wish to extend gratitude for your family's military service - I know that our military, like it or not, is why we can even be openly pagan or of the olde ways.  I have fairly extensive military energy in my family - both of my brothers, my dad and step-dad all made a career of it, and I know there were more if one looks further back and outward.

Crocheting is awesome. I have mostly just made practice blocks but I have done a couple pot holders and a scarf. I am currently working on making a bag so that I can store extra yarn and then I want to make some tarot card bags. I am trying to go to all natural materials every where I can. smile
